The SunDog Retreat - Parry Sound

All Cottages include towels, linens, fully equiped kitchens, Satellite TV & DVD players and access to outdoor hot tub, barbeques and laundry facilities. There is wireless internet connection for those of you with wireless cards. Also available are canoes, kayaks, paddle boat and a few pairs of snow shoes and toboggans.

The Knotty Pine Cottage

This suite at 800 sq. ft. features a wood stove in the living-room and is furnished with a double hide-a-bed. The main level bedroom has a set of bunk-beds. The living-room/dining-room/kitchen are open-concept. The main level bathroom features a claw-foot tub with a shower enclosure. 150 yr old pine cabinets and trim adorn throughout this unit. A gnarly limb banister leads up to the master bedroom which is furnished with a king-size bed. The upper level has a small adjoining room to the master bedroom which is ideal for a nursery or another bedroom. At the front entrance is a very large screened-in porch that is shared with the Honeymoon suite. At the side entrance there is a large deck that overlooks the garden. This suite sleeps 6.

The Honeymoon Cottage

This 1200 sq. ft. suite features a wood stove with field stone backdrop from floor to 2nd floor ceiling. The main-floor bathroom is adorned with a deep soaker heart-shaped tub and also has a separate shower stall. There is a large deck off of the livingroom that faces the lake. There is also an adjoining dinning-room. The bedroom on this level has a double-single bunk bed. There is a gnarly limb banister going up to the master bedroom loft, which overlooks the fireplace in the living room. The master bedroom is quite large and has a queen-size bed. There is an adjoining area that is furnished with a double pull-out futon. At the front entrance of this suite is a very large screened-in porch that is shared with the Knotty Pine suite. This suite sleeps 6.

The City Slicker Suite

This contemporary designed 1300 sq. ft. unit has a wood stove in the living-room and Italian ceramic tile throughout the main floor. The main level is open to the loft above and features cathedral ceilings made of knotty pine. It has an open-concept living-room/dining-room/kitchen. The bathroom is on the main level and features a soaker tub with separate shower stall and a double sink vanity. The master bedroom on this level is very spacious and has a queen-size bed. Polished oak hardwood floors adorn the upper bedroom loft which has a queen-size canopy bed and a double pull-out hide-a-bed sofa. This unit has a private balcony/deck away from all the other units and looks out to the lake and the
lush forest that surrounds the cottages. This suite sleeps 6.

The Country Classic Cottage

This generous 1300 sq. ft. 2 story unit has 3 and a half bedrooms and 2 and half bathrooms. It features a large sunk-in living room with a fieldstone fireplace. The kitchen/dining-room overlook the living-room. The kitchen features an antique wood-burning cook stove but it has a conventional range and stove as well. There are 2 bedrooms on this level that are furnished with double beds. Also on this level are 2 bathrooms: a 3 piece that is highlighted by a large shower made of Spanish limestone that is enclosed by glass; and a 2 piece (powder-room) that has a Mexican ceramic floor. The second floor has a room adjacent to the master bedroom furnished with a twin-size bed. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a double futon. There is an open-concept washroom that is highlighted by a two-person Jacuzzi tub. This unit sleeps 9.
